Getting Kosher Pots
| Photo Credit: www.allnigerianrecipes.com My Pots look nothing like these. |
A little background information: Over a year ago I took on eating only Kosher food all the time except for at dinner. The reason for this was I had read on line that when you a BT stops eating there mothers meals the mother flips. Imagine, your parents raised you, they took care of you when you were sick; and now you decided there food isn't good enough for you? Good luck with your relationship. I also continued using my family dishes. A month ago I decided it was time to take on Kashrus completely.

English Class Portfolio Reflection
This was written in about one night, with a little editing the next day. I totally sucked up, because I know my teacher, and I know I'm going to pass with this essay. I hope you find it humerus and educational.
My expectations for this class before the school year started were that I was going to read a few books and write some essays. The course met and challenged my expectations. I remember my first essay “The theme Of Mice and Men” I got a 79. I was so shocked, I consider myself to be a good writer, and I'm passionate about it, until 9th grade I aced every essay with out putting in a lot of effort. The same was true about tests, It drove my mother nuts, but I never had to study and still got an A every time. The very first test of the class I got a 60/104. The most useful thing I learned this year was how to structure a thesis. Allow me to show off what I've learned, I can now successfully write an argument essay, analysis the deeper meaning of text, and lead a class presentation.

Yellow Card
This post is about my soccer game that occured yesterday on May 23 2011.
My team is first in are league. Not saying we are super amazing, just making a fact. We hadn't lost a game. We were not destined to loose a game. Our toughest opponent, we had already played twice. We just need to tie or win are last game and were undefeated. Well our toughest opponent had other plans.

No Music
I don't know if anyone else is having trouble keeping track of the Omer and not listing to music but I most definitely am. Even though counting Omer takes like 2 minutes I don't do it. I always forget.
At my Public School every day in gym we listen to music when we work out. When my soccer team (Were undefeated btw!!!) travels to away games we listen to music on the bus. The music we listen to is never Jewish.

Why I Was Late To Shul On Jan 1
This past Shabbos was the secular New Year. I was invited to a new year’s party Friday night, and went. The party was boring and the only reason I went was because after the party I was having two Jewish friends over and then the next day we were going to go to Shul.
It was all working perfectly. Sure that night my friends were nervous to be going to the Chabad Shul. Obviously Chabad has a Mechitza. In my town having a Mechitza is a big deal. The Mechitza was something my friends were both uncomfortable with, and started having second thoughts on the whole idea of going to Shul. Whatever I told them there would be good food, we’d arrive lateish, and everything would be fine. That was the end of the discussion. We continued our sleepover and went to bed.

Everything Happens For A Reason
Everybody has there own story. There own story of how they became who they are today. One of my teachers had us do an assignment for a This I believe Essay. For those of you who don't know what that is: http://thisibelieve.org// I spent a lot of time and energy writing this. Its some of my best work, if not my best work ever. It was very emotional to write. So after reading if you don't mind please take a second to comment.
I believe everything happens for a reason. OnMay 9th, 2008 I got hit by a car. It was a normal Friday afternoon and I was hanging out with my best friend . It’s a bit sketchy to me how it happened. All I know for sure is my friend and I were at the Packard gas station looking for some candy so we could get “sugar high”. The gas station didn’t have the candy we wanted, so we decided to go to the gas station across the street. Here is where my memory goes blank. My friends told me what happened again, and again, but I always forget. All I know is, I flew 30 feet across the intersection, stopped traffic for three hours, and didn’t break any bones. Nothing major there.
I believe everything happens for a reason. On
